After a storm

Missing or displaced shingles, debris on the roof and a new interior leak are reasons to request an assessment. These signs do not establish the full extent or cause of damage. Avoid climbing onto a damaged roof; send ground-level photos and describe what changed.

What to prepare

Tell us when you first noticed the issue, where water is entering, whether repairs have already been made and whether you have roof plans, material information or previous inspection records. Keep dated photos and records of the damage and any temporary work.

Assessment and repair planning

We discuss visible conditions, areas that need closer review and repair or replacement options. The written scope should identify materials, included work, exclusions and the proposed schedule. If concealed damage is found during construction, additional work and costs should be discussed before proceeding.

Insurance questions

If insurance is involved, contact your insurer about your policy, claim requirements and deadlines. Coverage, deductibles and reimbursement depend on the policy and the insurer’s review. We can provide information about the proposed construction work; we do not guarantee claim approval, full payment or a zero-cost repair.
